Don't Like Monday?

Not a big fan of Monday morning? Well here's a way to solve that! Head on over to the MFT Forum on Splitcoast! Not only is there a fabulous challenge for the Who's That Girl Stamp Sets, since it's the 20th of the month it's also MFT Day!  The challenge today was to use the wonderful Bunny Slippers set and to use pink, purple and white!  Since it was chilly here this morning and I was wrapped up in my robe earlier, my inspiration for the card was too easy!  

I started by stamping the image twice - once on Whisper White and once on Kim's signature pink and white stripe paper which is part of the MFT stamp packaging. (Clever, eh?) I paper pieced the robe with the stripe and then colored in the neck, hands, legs, belt and bunny slipper ears with my Copic markers. I added white liquid applique around the collar and cuffs and on the slippers and then used the Pebbles chalks to color in the background.  Makes me want to kick back and relax AND climb back in bed. . .it is Monday ya know. . .

Hey girls - thanks for your patience during my birthday, illness and a very quick business trip.  All week before my birthday, I had been fighting off a cold or some other bug. I tried to keep going and even enjoyed a great surprise birthday party planned by my DD and DH on Friday night. Dozens of close friends and family joined us for the party - it was wonderful!  By Saturday, my body just couldn't go any longer.  The bug had me in its grip with no sign of letting go.  But Sunday was just a day away and commitments at my DD's school couldn't be ignored.  I drug my sick tail to the school for an afternoon of volunteering.  When I arrived home that evening, I climbed into bed and didn't get out until Wednesday when I had to head out for a business trip.  We got back in the wee hours of the morning yesterday and then spent the majority of it working on the kitchen for the new/old house. No rest and recuperation for this "must keep moving" Mom!
