Happy Hump Day! Need a cute and fun gift for under $10 that you can make in less than 15 minutes? Then this post is for you!
Today, I am showing a project which I coordinated with this weeks SCS Color Challenge to use Real Red, Wild Wasabi and Very Vanilla. Here's my project. . .
Now I must be honest, this idea was not my own. I found a similar box on Pinterest and linked it back to it's rightful owner, Heidi Boos. Her project tutorial can be found HERE! This project takes 15 minutes! I'm serious! A super easy Christmas gift!
You start with a shadow box frame (Michael's $4). I roughed up the edges of mine to make it look a little more vintage. I chose a scrap of pattern paper which coordinated with the challenge colors and cut it to fit for the background. (Scraps are free!) I used Jingle All The Way Small Real Red Decor Elements from Stampin' Up on the glass (Stampin' Up $3.50) Then I simply dropped in various sizes of red and silver jingle bells (Hobby Lobby approx $1 worth), placed the back on, chose coordinating ribbon (approx $1 worth) and adhered it to the frame. I added four mini cushions to each corner on the bottom for two reasons - make sure it is balanced and no chance it can scratch anything (Lowe's .25). There you have it! Super simple! Total cost $9.75!
I am making a couple more of these in different color schemes and will post pictures as soon as they are finished!
Have a jingle bell kind of day!
