I was so stinkin' excited to carve out a bit of time to play in my studio over the past few days! And every second was devoted to participating in the My Favorite Things Guest Designer Challenge! Let me just say that there is ALWAYS tough competition for one of these coveted spots! Kim and her crew are among the most talented chicks in the business and landing a spot as a guest designer is an honor that ranks right up there with being born in a royal family! This month, we were challenged by two Queens in their own right, Jodi and Joanne, to "PLAY TAG" - make tags or use tags in a project.
Since the Christmas season is upon us, I've been decorating like a fool! Each little space in my house had to have just the right decor and I discovered that I needed a little something for the corner of my bar area. I took the challenge and created this. . .
I started with three unfinished wood blocks and four round wood balls. I painted everything white and let it dry. I then cut 15 squares of various pattern paper, glued them to all the sides of the blocks and then covered them in Mod Podge. Using the Die-Namics Layered Label Die, I cut out the tags for the blocks. I stamped the H and O from the Bling 'bet stamps set in Memento Rhubarb Stalk and Cottage Ivy and then added the stones. Then using the Die-Namics Tag You're It Die, I created the topper. I stamped Santa from the Inspired By Christmas and then used the Die-Namics Four Point Frame to cut him out. I added ribbon and made a jingle bell button to top it off! Here is a close-up . . .
I hope the judges like this project as much as I enjoyed making it! You can find out the winner TONIGHT during the MFT Release Party! Join us by clicking HERE! You won't want to miss the 8 new Die-Namics and 14 stamp sets! I'm HoHoHo excited! See at the party!

Wow! This is so cute! All your work was worth it, and I hope you're "It", too! Good luck!
