I am tickled pink to be part of the MFT Blog Hop held in honor of Celebrate MFT Day which occurs on the 20th of each month! This is a chance for the customers to join the design team for a hop to view outstanding MFT projects. You should have arrived here via Kerry's Blog, and if you didn't start at Joanne's Blog , I highly recommend you back up and head over there first!I probably stressed a little too much over what to create, but I wanted to come up with something completely outside the realm of "normal stamping" (i.e. cards, scrapbook pages, etc.) So. . .what time is it?
As many of you know, we are in the process of renovating an 1915 home in a Historical Preservation District. It's been a lot of work, sweat and tears - but we are nearing the end. My stamping studio is almost complete and I had been looking for a clock. I decided "what kind of a stamping girl hangs a regular old clock on the wall?" That would NEVER do! I found this clock at a craft store and the bottom plate had some cheesy saying on it. I covered it with pattern paper and got busy with my MFT Who's That Girl? stamp sets. . .
Each Who's That Girl image was either paper pieced or colored with Copic markers. . .
I added a "special effect" to each image, i.e. - the rope, the mirror, bubbles and wood floor. . .
The "white space" was sponged with pearlized chalks and then each image was framed in shimmer cardstock. I popped them up on foam boosters and Voila! a clock for my stamping studio!
Thanks for stopping by! Your next stop is Maggie's Blog!
