Whimsy & Stars Studio Blog Hop - New Releases - June 2013

Good morning friends! And WOW!  There is a lot going on today with Whimsy & Stars Studio! First, our entire new summer design team is being introduced! How exciting!  And, a big thank you for joining us for the monthly Whimsy & Stars Studio Blog Hop!

And away we go! Today, Mabelle is releasing two precious new images to the Whimsy & Stars family. . .please welcome Amelia & Little Princess . . .

Aren't they both just sweet as pie?  I chose to create a card using miss Amelia - take a look. . .

I printed this sweet digi and colored her with Copic markers.  I loved coloring her little coat, but you could also paper piece it easily.  Here's a close up. . .

I added a little glitter to the center of her flower for some sparkle and I borrowed a sentiment from My Favorite Things. . .

This card could be used for a variety of occassions, but I am putting this one in my DD's camp card collection.  She leaves in just a couple of weeks and I like to provide a card for each day she's away - one down and 13 to go!

Whimsy & Stars & Sweet Sunday Sketch #2

I am so excited to be back in my studio!  I miss it dearly when session is in full swing.  Nothing like a little crafting to clear your mind and lift your spirits!  Today, I am sharing with you a super fun sketch from HRSH (Her Royal Stamping Highness) Karen Giron!  Her Sweet Sunday Sketch was the perfect place for my friends from Whimsy & Stars Studio! 

This sweet Whimsy & Stars Studio image is called "Friends" and  while it is currently out of stock, a little birdie told me that it may be coming back soon!

Some Vineyard Vines "Fetti" by the Sea!

Afternoon friends! Session has finally come to an end!  It took me a bit to get caught up on work, household and such, but my studio has welcomed me back and it feels GREAT to be here!

During the session I purchased my first sets from well known stamping diva Jen del Muro!  In case you have been under a rock and didn't know, Jen has created her own stamping company - Reverse Confetti!  Having known Jen for several years and having had the pleasure of lunch and some stamp shopping with her many moons ago, let's just say, I feel like I "know her well."  Needless to say, I was tickled pink when I heard the news of her new line of stamping goodness! 

My DD is out of town this week for the first of three summer camps, so I thought I would give her a little welcome home gift complete with this card. . .

My DD is a huge fan of all things Vineyard Vines!  Their logo is a cutie patootie pink whale trimmed in navy blue. . .

I used several of the stamps from Reverse Confetti's Happy Harbor stamp set.  I made all my own background paper using the rope and anchor stamps.  And, I just LOVE  the sentiment!  I plan to attach this to a little VV gift bag for DD's return on Friday.  Can't wait!
